Copywriter

Founded in 2006, Soho Studio/TileBar is a young tile company built in the 21st century, with forward-thinking business practices, which utilize technology and the web to run the most streamlined and efficient company in order to create savings and pass them on to the customer.

Copywriter

This role reports to the Head of Copy. It will partner closely with other copywriters, designers, photographers, videographers, and other departments across marketing, e-commerce, sales teams, and product development.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

Responsibilities

• Write original and error-free copy for our assortment of tile, vanity, and fixture collections.
• Day-to-day assignments will consist primarily of web product copy, emails, and social media.
• This role may also assist with copy for showroom signage, ads, and one-off projects.
• Work closely with our merchandising and product teams to understand the features and benefits of our products to write copy that informs, engages, and sells.
• Assist in building copy documents and loading copy to Salsify.
• Provide backup proofreading and editing.
• Write updates for existing content.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience crafting on-brand copy in a retail environment, ideally in the home space.
• Passion for writing clear and concise copy for a variety of marketing efforts, including product copy, emails, and social media.
• B2B copywriting experience is a major plus.
• A wordsmith’s mindset and mastery of vocabulary, usage, grammar, and punctuation.
• Ability to work hard, ask questions, collaborate, and communicate effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills (including meeting deadlines, tracking revisions, and getting approvals).
• A love of consistency and style guides; QC/copy editing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of luxury décor brands and an interest in tile.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field.

This role is hybrid, but should be based in the NY Metro Area. A shuttle option is available.
