What you will do:
Site and General Maintenance Technician is responsible for cleaning and/or sanitizing all company non-production areas. The role will also help support small project including but not limited to general office and building maintenance.
Here’s a day in life:
- Perform calibrations and preventive and corrective maintenance on sanitation equipment including, but not limited to Foot Foamers, chemical dosing (oasis) units, floor scrubbers, compactors, etc.
- Inspect and monitor plant personnel safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and chemical showers.
- Perform Non-Structural maintenance of the building and grounds such as- paint scraping, painting, weed spraying, pressure washing, door repairs, parking lot maintenance, etc.
- Support visitor center maintenance and setup of displays and equipment
- Support office movements and furniture assembly
- Responsible for leading special cleaning projects including the coordination, supply ordering and execution of the project
- Responsible for organizing and leading work for team members when required for special projects
- Back up support for Sanitation Lead when needed
- Perform waste removal from plant and grounds including support for larger plant projects
- Research and order parts as required for mechanical repairs and projects
- Performs interior and exterior custodial services as needed.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees at multiple levels throughout the company.
- Work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to work well independently and manage time is a must
- Act as a team player and be able to interact with employees at all levels of the company
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Perform other projects and duties assigned by supervisor.
- Once hired, must be willing to get fall protection, Lift, Forklift, LOTO, and Confined Space certifications.
- Utilize computer systems (CMMS and D365) to generate work requests, track hours worked, and initiate purchasing requests.
- Support training needs of the department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in food production or production / manufacturing environment desired.

- Pre-work physical exam is required.
