We are now recruiting for a Senior Construction Manager.
Requirements And Responsibilities
- Provides input and supervision to direct the tactical network plan and implement network capital investments supporting the Consumer, Business, Enterprise, and Wholesale markets in a regional Market Area.
- Communicate with employees and key state and local stakeholders to champion the company’s build plans and deliver on organizational key performance indicators including revenue, capital investment, expense control, and customer experience.
- Day-to-day activities that enable the detailed construction, installation, inspection, and service readiness of all network deployments within the Region by established deadlines and in compliance with network planning guidelines.
- Work closely with the Tillman Engineering group to ensure proper buildable designs are sent to the field for Construction.
- Manage the Tillman QA/QC team that oversees the Construction Contractors in the field.
- Deploy operationally efficient and reliable day-to-day operations that are standard and consistent with the organization’s network strategy and long-term product roadmaps to service, support and maximize revenue opportunity of this expansive fiber network deployment.
- Lead and manage the optimal methods for achieving desired results of the service readiness of the network investment, providing direction and influence to direct reports and cross functional partners, ensuring network investments are in service and accounted for in a timely and quality manner.
- Maintain fiscal responsibility, due diligence and oversight for detailed construction, inspection and service readiness of all network deployments and capital investment.
- Manage regional network capital and operational budgets.
- Manage daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements as directed by corporate staff.
- Oversees that all elements of the workforce are delivering on their commitments to ensure adequate Right of Way acquisition is in place and the available construction workforce is capable of meeting monthly build targets.
- Quickly addresses any shortfalls that impact meeting the key targets of the build.
- Ensures Construction Methods and Procedures are being followed and provides timely feedback to staff for process improvements.
- Leads the efficient operation of the regional team so that cost improvements and build efficiencies are implemented quickly and consistently.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Ensures the continuous evaluation of construction contractors through detailed measurements and provides timely feedback to address any identified issues.

What we are looking for
- Significant experience with project management and leading a large workforce.
- Must have experience leading large projects, excellent knowledge of both Inside Plant and Outside Plant Engineering and Construction, as well as experience managing a large contract workforce.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to successfully lead a diverse and regionally based workforce that is made up of both in-house and contracted employees.
- Proven ability to deliver on key objectives over an extended time.
- Excellent managerial and leadership skills including competencies in teamwork, collaboration, motivation, and execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience and training required.
- MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred.
- Experience in occupational and third-party contracting, with a proven ability in forming working win/win partnerships in network deployment, service, and support.
- At least 8 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in network operations, planning, engineering, or construction with increasing levels of responsibility throughout.
