Position Description
Tilson, in partnership with the Roux Institute at Northeastern University, is accepting applications for an exciting new opportunity. Five candidates will be co-selected for this highly competitive position to pursue a fully funded master’s degree program at the Roux Institute while working part-time at Tilson beginning. Applicants living outside of Portland, Maine are encouraged to apply. The program starts in September 2021.
Two positions will be for applicants seeking a Master of Science in Project Management. Two positions will be for applicants seeking a Master of Professional Studies in Analytics. One position will be for an applicant seeking a Master of Science in Computer Science. (This individual may also apply to the ALIGN Master of Computer Science designed for individuals without a computer science background.)
As a part time employee and a full-time student, candidates will learn the different facets of a high-growth, national company and work on real-time, client-facing projects. Candidates will have the opportunity to immediately apply the professional and technical skills acquired at Northeastern in a business setting.
This is a part-time, hourly position paid at a rate of $30/hr. Tilson’s work expectation is approximately 20hrs a week in order to fulfill the educational requirements of the full-time master’s program. Weekly hours will not exceed 30hrs a week.
At the core of the Tilson Roux Institute partnership opportunity is a sustainable, meaningful part-time job with full benefits to provide the right candidate with the ability to comfortably move to Maine and successfully complete a fully funded master’s degree program, while applying their knowledge in real time. Candidates who successfully complete their degree program will be considered for full time employment with Tilson at the conclusion of the degree.

- Bachelor’s degree with relevant pre-requisite coursework for the degree program. Refer to the program pages linked below to assess your eligibility.

- Must be able to move to the greater Portland, Maine area. Relocation expenses are not provided by Tilson or Roux.
- Applicants must independently apply to Tilson and the Roux Institute and be accepted by the relevant college at Northeastern University. Acceptance to both is required for this joint opportunity.
- Desire for a career within the telecommunications industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
