Responsibilities
- Evaluate vehicles for damage and determine necessary repairs using industry-standard methods.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repairs, including parts and labor costs, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to assess issues related to oil changes, diesel engine repair, suspension systems, and other automotive services.
- Collaborate with service technicians to confirm repair needs and timelines.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, invoices, and customer interactions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly during the estimation process.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding estimates and repairs.
- Stay updated on automotive trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance estimating accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive service or repair, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and the ability to identify issues effectively.
- Familiarity with auto service management software is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to customers.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive repair are a plus.
