Timber Lane Pediatrics is seeking an experienced and motivated medical office business manager.
The business manager will oversee all operations and finances at a busy independent pediatric medical practice with three sites in Chittenden County. The business manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and effective management of all aspects of the business while aligning with our mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership to all staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment consistent with our values.
- Manage all financial operations, including budgeting and revenue cycle management to support the financial health of the practice.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators to assess practice performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, vendors and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services and resources.
- Collaborate closely with the nurse manager, administrative manager and physician manager to work on the following:
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization to ensure efficient practice operations and maximize patient satisfaction.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives for new staff members, ensuring alignment with practice goals and values.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Work to improve marketing, branding, website, social media presence, patient recruitment and patient reviews.
- Oversee all building operations to maintain well-kept office spaces.
- Utilize strong leadership and management skills to motivate and inspire staff to achieve organizational goals.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities to effectively interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a patient-centered approach in all aspects of practice management.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience directly managing people and business operations in a health care setting. Experience in pediatric practice management is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical office operations, budgeting, and financial analysis of medical practices.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in healthcare administration.
- Fluent in Excel and Microsoft 365 applications; experience with Medent is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field required. Master's level degree preferred.
