POSITION SUMMARY
TP Trucking, a Division of Timber Products Co., is looking for a friendly, customer service oriented Receptionist to join the team. This person will be responsible for greeting the public in person and on the phone, while representing the TP Trucking in a professional manner at all times. Answers and routes incoming calls to the switchboard and appropriate personnel. Performs additional administrative tasks as needed.
MAJOR TASKS
- Greets and screens visitors as to the purpose of their visit. Announces visitor arrival.
- Receives incoming calls from multi-line switchboard and routes to appropriate extensions.
- Opens and distributes incoming mail, and date stamps applicable correspondence or other documents as requested. Processes all internal and external mail for pickup by courier service. Processes and maintains tracking records of all packages picked up by UPS and FedEx. Receives UPS and FedEx deliveries and distributes to designated employees.
- Provides support to the Dispatch team and may act as back-up to Dispatch staff when needed.
- Completes PTO data entry.
- Assists job applicants by providing applications, supplying job opening information, and distributing other forms to applicants as requested.
- Provides administrative support which may include: planning travel, arranging meetings; typing, proofreading and editing correspondence and other documents; generating and/or editing reports, spreadsheets, charts and graphs.
- Maintains filing systems.
- Provides support to various departments as needed.
- Responsible for supporting and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
