What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Timber Ridge School?
Timber Ridge School, a residential facility located just 15 miles north of Winchester, VA, seeks a full-time Custodian.
Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively; knowledge of cleaning methods, supplies, and equipment. Ability to lift at least 25 pounds routinely, spend long periods of time standing, bending, stooping and walking around the facility and buildings, ability to safely operate equipment, including vacuums, and to use tools such as brooms and mops, rags and other cleaning equipment. Work hours 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM.
Responsibilities: Maintain assigned areas in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner using procedures as approved by the Maintenance Supervisor, advises supervisor on the status of cleaning supplies and equipment, advise supervisor on the status of cleanliness of the facility, with specific attention to special cleaning and/or maintenance needs, advises supervisor on the status of cleaning supplies and equipment.
