Timber Warriors is a fast-growing Storm Recovery Company who is seeking an innovative Assistant Operations Manager that has oversight from the President and CEO of Timber Warriors. Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for a 100 plus subcontractors and providing insurance claim vendor services
The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for managing every aspect of the job from start to finish including entering the job into the correct systems, scheduling crews to complete the work, keeping the lines of communication open with the customer as well as the insurance adjuster and any subcontractors working within the project, as well as writing the final billing summary at the completion of the job. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the operations at the assigned branch.

This position is also required to participate in an on-call schedule during emergency essential events that run may run August to November, consisting of overtime, 4-day 10-hour schedule with 1 day off and weekends. This is a second shift position during non-storm mode. Monday through Friday 12pm through 8pm.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily activities of the Operations Department to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality.
This role involves coordinating tasks and implementing process improvements. The Assistant Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring that Department goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning.
- Coordinate and supervise activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics.
- Ensure that workflows are efficient, timely, and meet standards.
- Support staff, ensure roles are clearly defined, and expectations are met.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new operational team members.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Assist in performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Monitor day-to-day operations to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation of strategies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Work with the Operations Manager to monitor KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure that procedures and customer service standards are followed to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues related to the Department’s processes.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure legal and regulatory requirements, client agreements, and internal policies and procedures are met.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining reports related to Department performance and staffing.
- Help analyze operational data and provide insights to the Operations Manager for strategic decision-making.
- Document and report any Department issues or concerns and collaborate on solutions.
- Assist in conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings to discuss Department-related issues and opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in operations or management, with a strong understanding of operational processes.
- Experience in supervising teams and assisting with planning or project management is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient business software, project management tools, collaboration and communication software, etc.
- Ability to quickly adapt, and become proficient in, new industry software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
Work Environment:
- Full-time, on-site.
- Some travel, such as to industry events, may be required.
- Collaborative and fast-paced work environment with potential for high-pressure situations during peak business times.
Occasional overtime may be required during peak business times
