Job Summary
Timberline is America’s largest feeder insect farm. Our Shipping department are the last hands to touch our product before it’s shipped to customers all over the world and used to feed thousands of reptiles. As a Shipping Associate, you will be a part of gathering, assembling, labeling, palletizing, and loading orders. You might be a great fit in Shipping if you are comfortable working a flexible schedule which includes a three-day weekend every weekend and you like a fast-paced, task-oriented work environment. While you will spend the majority of your time in one area, you will be cross-trained in all three roles in the shipping room: Picker, Strapper, and Computer Operator. To work in Shipping, you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day, stand, bend, squat, and move freely throughout the room for the entirety of your shift without limitations. You must be comfortable working around worms and other insects.
Job Duties
Some of the things that you will do as a Shipping Associate include:
- Use order invoices to assemble customer orders with bulk and individually packaged items.
- Box or use strapping machine to strap orders to be shipped.
- Operate computer to weigh and label orders.
- Ensure order accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain working environment to ensure clean and safe workspace.
- Perform all other duties assigned by Manager.
Schedule
The schedule for Shipping operates on a full-time, Monday-Thursday schedule with no weekends required. It is a requirement that Shipping Associates be available to stay until all orders for the day are completed and loaded onto the truck. While this means that the schedule may vary by week according to order volume, it generally follows the following schedule:
- Monday: 7:30 am-6:30 pm
- Tuesday: 7:30 am-6:00 pm
- Wednesday: 7:30 am-6:00 pm
- Thursday: 7:00 am-Orders Completed
- Friday/Saturday/Sunday: Off
