Primary Operational Objective

The primary function of the Safety Assistant is to assist the safety manager on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Help maintain Safety Data Sheets

• Assist with and/or conduct safety meetings, trainings, and toolbox talks

• Assist with Job Hazard Analysis

• Assist with Federal Motor Carier Safety Administration / Department Of Transportation compliance

• Help with accident/incident investigations

• Accompany employees to medical facilities when required

• Conduct drug tests if required

• Help with the creation of safety policies and procedures

• Complete daily/weekly jobsite audits

• Fire extinguisher inspections

• Assist with gate checks

• Maintain positive relationships with industry partners and vendors

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Fast-paced work site and office environment

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a professional appearance and image at all times when representing Timberline

• Must become a Certified Urine Collector within 90 days of employment

• Must be able to read, write and speak English

• Must be able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organization and time management skills

• Keep up to date with current and emerging trends

• CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to become certified

• Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Must pass background check consisting of employment history, personal/professional references, criminal record and drug screening

• Must be willing to do things outside of your job description. All team members help and support other departments when necessary

Desired

• Bilingual in Spanish highly desired

• OSHA 10 desired or willing to get it. (We will provide if needed)
