Description
The Banquet Captain is responsible for directly supervising catered events for Timberline. Train and supervise catering staff, ensure details of Banquet Event Orders are handled promptly and completely. Provide efficient, proper and excellent food service to guests. Responsible for sanitation of banquet areas.
Requirements
- Assist Banquet Manager to oversee and direct banquet and catering events.
- Ensure details from Banquet Event Orders are handled promptly and completely.
- Provide efficient, proper and excellent food service to guests.
- Responsible for sanitation of banquet areas.
- Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
- Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present.
- Present a professional, quality image at all times.
- Exercising sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous banquet experience required.
- Cleanliness and good sanitation practices are required.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong staff relationships.
- Computer and office skills preferred.
- Must have excellent problem solving skills.
- Must have valid OLCC and Oregon Food Handlers permit.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting, and standing for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in tight space with balance and poise.
- Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Must be able to move in a timely fashion to meet demands of a fast paced department.
