Knowledge and skills required for the position are :
- The Estimator must have knowledge of construction methods engineering standards familiarity with building codes standards and / or regulations in the mass timber and / or building and commercial industry.
- Be knowledgeable in 3D modeling tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) to incorporate into costing models. Experience with construction software such as Bluebeam and / or other construction software. Have knowledge of ERP systems and cost estimation software related to construction and manufacturing industry.
- The Estimator must be able to interpret blueprints technical drawings and engineering documents and provide solutions for the customer to increase customer satisfaction while providing value to the customer which may include lower costs. The Estimator needs to understand risk management analysis / assessment and conduct cost-benefit analysis on solutions.
- The Estimator must have a strong business acumen regarding material costs direct and indirect costs and / or other costs related to project management such as direct and indirect costs labor allocations and allowance gross profit margin and / or other financial performance and company metrics.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 products and be able to provide effective presentations skills to employees and / or all stakeholders. Understand Salesforce while inputting information such as customer notes requirements policies / procedures and / or other information that will increase customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
