Construction Estimator

• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and gather necessary project details.
• Cost Estimation:
• Perform detailed material, labor, and equipment takeoffs.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Identify potential cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.
• Bid Preparation:
• Prepare and compile bid proposals and tender documents.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to align estimates with project scopes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and compare competitive quotes.
• Data Management and Reporting:
• Maintain an up-to-date database of pricing, historical costs, and industry standards.
• Generate detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, including risk assessments and contingency analyses.
• Monitor project costs during construction and update estimates as necessary.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Work closely with internal teams (e.g., project management, engineering, procurement) to ensure seamless project execution.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, project reviews, and client discussions.
• Provide support during contract negotiations and project planning sessions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating and cost control
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and pricing strategies
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and HeavyBid software
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Familiarity with construction site operations and management
