Job Summary: We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and organized Studio Assistant to become a part of our creative art studio family. In this role, you'll be the heart of our day-to-day operations, ensuring the studio is a welcoming and joyful place for both children and adults. You will help with art project preparation, maintain a clean and inspiring environment, and ensure that everyone—especially our youngest artists—leaves with a smile. Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: Take pride in keeping the studio running smoothly, from opening and closing the studio to managing art supplies and equipment.
Art Project Preparation: Set the stage for creativity by preparing materials and workstations for classes, workshops, and open studio sessions with care and attention to detail.
Studio Maintenance: Maintain a clean, bright, and inviting studio space, ensuring everyone feels welcome and safe by tidying up after sessions and regularly organizing supplies.
Customer Interaction: Be the friendly face of the studio—greet customers warmly, engage with children and families, and ensure that every visitor feels special and cared for.
Payment Processing: Handle payments with a smile, whether cash or card, while ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
Child Supervision: Create a fun and safe atmosphere for children, offering encouragement and support during their creative projects, and making sure they feel confident and happy.
Assisting Instructors: Be a helpful and positive presence by supporting art instructors with setup, materials prep, and assistance during workshops and classes.
Event Support: Play a key role in the success of studio events, birthday parties, or special art workshops, making sure everything runs smoothly and that every guest has an amazing experience.
Qualifications:
A natural warmth and ability to connect with people, especially children and families.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience in a customer service or creative environment is a plus.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Comfort using point-of-sale systems for processing payments.
Passion for creativity, art, and making others feel welcome.
Working Conditions:
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle light lifting.
Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends for studio events and workshops.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
