Position Summary

The Agency Development Manager is essential in promoting the expansion and durability of an organization's agency network. This role entails locating, bringing onboard, and training prospective agents to align with the overall ambitions of the company. A successful Agency Development Manager should demonstrate superior leadership qualities and interpersonal abilities, fostering a strong agency culture that encourages teamwork and cooperation. This position is instrumental in amplifying the business's outreach and accomplishing specified sales goals while directly impacting the caliber and productivity of the agency network. By nurturing solid ties with agents, the manager guarantees they are well-prepared to showcase the company’s principles and offerings compellingly. Primary Duties

  • Identify and recruit new agents to broaden the agency network.
  • Facilitate training sessions for the induction and continuous enhancement of agents.
  • Formulate strategic initiatives to boost agency effectiveness and market share.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance data for strategic insights.
  • Cultivate robust partnerships with agents to promote teamwork.
  • Provide ongoing support and advice to agents regarding sales strategies.
  • Arrange regular meetings to outline goals and disseminate company information.
  • Address any concerns raised by agents in a timely and suitable manner.
  • Guide agents in setting and reaching their sales objectives.
  • Assess market trends and competitor tactics to uncover opportunities.
  • Implement promotional strategies for increased brand exposure among agents.
  • Work alongside various departments for effective agency governance.
  • Review agent performance and propose enhancements for growth.
  • Create and deliver periodic reports on agency metrics to upper management.
  • Nurture a vibrant and motivating agency culture that drives success.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in sales or agency management roles.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales objectives.
  • Experience with the recruitment and training of sales personnel.
  • In-depth knowledge of the insurance or financial services sectors.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership experience in guiding and mentoring teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for meetings and training opportunities.
  • Comprehension of market conditions and competitive environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility in adjusting strategies based on market shifts.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and aptitude for managing multiple tasks.
