What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Mechanic position at Timi's Tours?
Timi’s Tours is looking for a Fleet Mechanic at our Evansville, IN Location. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on various company fleet vehicles, gasoline and diesel, according to FMCSA and industry regulations. The ideal candidate has a specific focus on heavy duty, and a preference of commercial motor coach buses (MCI & Prevost).
Responsibilities Include:
Work alongside our existing mechanic staff
Participate in continuing education
Conduct Regular Preventative Maintenance
Diagnose & Repair Mechanical & Electrical Breakdowns
Conduct Safety Inspections at preset intervals
Utilize computer electronics systems to interpret failures
Maintains maintenance logs
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary vocational education is strongly preferred. Minimum 1 year of mechanic experience. Willingness to attend, to successfully complete, and to maintain ongoing technical training through an industry specific training program that may require remote learning and/or online learning after hire.
Valid Driver’s License & must obtain or be willing to obtain a Class B CDL. Must possess or obtain a valid Medical Card. Acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT rules and regulations. This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Ability to work any schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to utilize an on-board computer and desktop computer. (PC, Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.) Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to be able to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights, in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights, in excess of 100 pounds. Some travel may be required.
Compensation:
Position compensation will be based on the professional experience and technical knowledge of the applicant at hire and will be determined by the management of the Company. Position will be a Full-Time position with 40-hours a week with occasional, mandatory overtime. Pay is bi-weekly.

Salary : $18 - $22
