Role Overview: As an Associate Attorney specializing in Orphan's Court Litigation, you will represent clients in matters related to contested estates, guardianship proceedings, and trust administration. Your role will involve preparing legal documents such as petitions, motions, and briefs for Orphan's Court proceedings. You will provide legal counsel on Trusts & Estates issues, which may include the drafting and reviewing of wills, trusts, and estate plans. Additionally, you will collaborate with Partners and clients to develop effective legal strategies, attend court hearings and trials, and handle depositions when needed. You will also be responsible for managing discovery, motion practice, and settlement negotiations, ensuring that each case is thoroughly prepared and effectively pursued.
Your strong time management and communication skills will be vital as you interact with other team members and clients, contributing to the Firm's continued success.
Requirements:
- Active license in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania (admission to other State Bars is a plus)
- 2-3 years of experience as an Attorney in Pennsylvania
- Strong writing, communication and presentation skills
- Comprehensive litigation experience, both in and out of the Court room
- Solid understanding of Trusts & Estates administration practices
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines effectively
- Ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a team
- Ability to reliably commute to Fort Washington, PA.
- Ability to reliably commute to Pennsylvania Courts
- Desire for courtroom experience
