Tinius Olsen a leading specialist manufacturer and supplier of static tension and/or compression materials testing machines have opportunities for highly motivated professionals as a Field Service Technician.
We are currently seeking a Field Service Calibration Technician who after successfully completing all of the necessary training will support a territory which includes but not limited to TX, LA, OK and AR. Incumbents perform calibration, installation, servicing and repair of equipment at a customer location.
The Field Service Calibration Technician will be responsible for providing advanced levels of field service support which include aligning, fitting, and assembling component parts, testing the performance of electromechanical and hydraulic assemblies, providing fault diagnostics, conducting operator user training, and capturing, recording, and analyzing calibration data and test results in strict accordance with Company approved quality procedures on products manufactured by the Company and its competitors.
The successful candidate will have completed a formal technical training program and possess 5 years of previous work experience, or the equivalent. Work assignments offer variety and vary in their degree of complexity. Incumbents will primarily work independently servicing or repairing equipment at a customer location.
Technicians may use both specialized and standard computer applications in performance of their job duties. Work will include lifting, handling or maintaining equipment or operation of equipment. Various additional duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications
- Electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical experience
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics a plus
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally at all times
- Computer literate
- Must possess clean, valid driver’s license
- Valid passport a plus, candidate must be willing to travel internationally as needed
