Tinkerbell’s Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the caregivers and children of incarcerated parents. Since our founding, we’ve built a legacy of transforming lives by fostering resilience, hope, and opportunity for the next generation. As our founder transitions into an emeritus role, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead Tinkerbell’s Kids into its next chapter of growth and impact.
Position Overview
The Executive Director of Tinkerbell’s Kids will be responsible for strategic leadership, organizational oversight, and programmatic excellence. This individual will champion our mission, drive fundraising, and cultivate partnerships that inspire a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic vision that aligns with the mission and values of Tinkerbell’s Kids, ensuring sustainable growth and meaningful outcomes.
- Fundraising & Development: Build and nurture relationships with donors, partners, and funders to secure resources that support organizational goals.
- Program Oversight: Ensure all programs and initiatives meet high-quality standards and align with the needs of the communities we serve.
- Team Management: Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Financial Stewardship: Oversee budgets, financial planning, and reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Community Engagement: Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for Tinkerbell’s Kids, strengthening relationships with stakeholders and expanding the organization’s visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required as a minimum level of study; advanced degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Leadership experience in the nonprofit or social impact sector, with a proven record of success in fundraising and organizational growth.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills.
- Experience working with diverse communities and understanding the challenges facing children and youth.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and drive operational efficiency.
- Passion for the mission of Tinkerbell’s Kids and a deep commitment to empowering children and youth.
