Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Toddler Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our students. Your creativity and enthusiasm will help shape the learning experiences of children aged 1 to 2 years old.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Foster positive relationships with children, providing individualized attention to support their unique needs.
- Monitor and assess children's progress through observation and documentation, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, behavior, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
- Stay current on best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- CDA or Certificate of Mastery in Early Childhood or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles.
- A nurturing demeanor with excellent caregiving skills.
