What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Toddler Teacher position at Tiny Town Childcare and Learning Center?
Tiny Town Enrichment Center is looking for a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers (18 months to 3 years old) and supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. You will help foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning in a safe and structured setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Curriculum Implementation : Design and implement age-appropriate, engaging, and developmentally appropriate activities that support the growth of toddlers, aligning with Ohio's Early Learning Standards.
- Classroom Management : Lead a well-organized, positive, and calm classroom where toddlers feel safe and free to explore and learn.
- Child Observation and Assessment : Regularly observe and assess each child’s development and milestones. Use this information to adjust teaching strategies, communicate progress with families, and ensure all children are supported.
- Family Engagement : Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with families, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and participating in parent-teacher conferences.
- Health and Safety : Ensure the classroom environment adheres to all state safety, health, and licensing regulations. Keep the space clean, safe, and conducive to learning.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate with other teachers and staff to maintain consistency in care and educational approaches across the center.
- Professional Development : Stay up-to-date with early childhood education practices, attending training sessions to maintain a Career Pathway Level of 3 or higher.
- Educational Requirements :
- Additional early childhood education coursework or certifications are a plus.
- Experience :
- Prior experience working with toddlers (18 months to 3 years old) is highly preferred.
- Certifications :
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification required.
- Must pass all background checks as required by Ohio law.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development, particularly in toddlers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children, families, and coworkers.
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to working with toddlers.
- Ability to create a warm, stimulating environment where toddlers can thrive and grow.

Qualifications :
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in a licensed early childhood education program is preferred.
Must have a Career Pathway Level of 3 or higher (or be willing to obtain this level).
