Families Location: Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, NY
Number of children and Age: Two. A 2-year-old and a 3-month-old infant
Type of Position: Weekend live-in/live-out.
Schedule: The schedule is from Friday 2:00 pm - Monday 7:00 am.
Compensation & Benefits: $30-$40 (2-weeks paid vacation, most federal holidays, and 5 sick days.). Discretionary year end bonus. Monthly Metrocard
Start Date: As soon as the find the right fit.
Travel Required: Must be comfortable with traveling with the family. The family will likely spend one (1) week per month at their home upstate New York (2.5 hrs from NYC; train accessible) and may take other weekend trips from time to time that they likely want the nanny to accompany them on (both domestically and abroad.)

A warm and professional family in Brooklyn Heights is seeking an exceptional weekend nanny to care for their two young children: a 2-year-old son and a 3-month-old daughter. The role will begin as soon as the family finds the perfect match. This position offers flexibility, alternating between live-out and live-in arrangements when the family visits their upstate home. They are looking for a devoted and experienced caregiver who is passionate about child development and fostering a nurturing, engaging environment for their little ones.
A nanny with lots of energy who can create an engaging, happy, and stimulating atmosphere for their newborn and toddlers—lots of engagement with reading, flashcards, games, and active play will excel in this role. The family is very hands on so a candidate that is comfortable pitching in with light housekeeping: dishwasher, meal prep, children’s laundry/folding. Lastly, candidates must be comfortable around dogs. The family has two (2) cute Morkies.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Safety first.
- Team player- able to work in a team environment and independently.
- Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the infant and toddler
- Ability to handle mother’s milk or prepare formula and sterilize bottles
When older, comfortable preparing solids in addition to bottle feedings.
- Ability to change diapers and eventually potty train.
- To ensure they stay stocked, keep track of children’s items (e.g., diapers, wipes, milk, etc.).
- Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Will find activities in the neighborhood to suggest, for example, classes or playgroups.
- Considerate of others and the family’s home
- Focused on teaching and encouraging qualities in their son like kindness, curiosity, generosity, etc.,.
- Desire to become part of the family; care for their children and invest in their happiness and development
- Outgoing and friendly (i.e., will make friends with other nannies, arrange playdates, etc.)
- Adhere to the infant/toddler schedule, including naps/sleep, bath, and activities
- Engaged in facilitating intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, reading, flashcards, games and active play, etc.)
- Engaged in facilitating physical development (e.g., running, stacking, using utensils, etc.) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way
- Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
- Manage all aspects of the children's property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, Laundry, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
- Huge plus if you can meal prep for the family as well
- Light housekeeping – picking up, loading/unloading dishwasher
- Helping to keep the children's space clean & organized.
Qualifications:
- U.S Work Authorization
- Must be Passport Ready and Willing to Travel
- Minimum of 5 years of Professional Full-time Experience
- Minimum of 3 Exceptional References
- Infant Experience is a must
- Up to date on all vaccinations (e.g., T-dap, flu vaccine, etc.)
- Covid vaccinated and boosted
- CPR and First-Aid certifications
- Able to swim
