Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for young children. This role involves educating and nurturing students, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development through various teaching methods.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Utilize Montessori and other educational philosophies to create an engaging classroom environment.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support to students as needed, ensuring each child’s unique learning needs are met.
- Teach literacy education, including reading and writing skills, through interactive activities.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior.
- Organize and lead physical education activities that promote health, fitness, and teamwork among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Qualifications
- Lead Teacher certification is required
- Experience working with children in a preschool or kindergarten setting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in behavior management and the ability to create a nurturing classroom environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for teaching young children and a commitment to their development in all areas: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
