What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ammonia Refrigeration Tech position at Tip Top Poultry Inc?
Base pay $20/ hour or Negotiable based on experience
Plus $3:00 /hour perfect attendance bonus
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
- Maintain condenser water chemical systems.
- Maintain refrigeration, cooling tower, and logbooks
- Updates Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in support of preventive & corrective maintenance
- Conducts maintenance daily checks, logs, and readings and performs preventive and corrective maintenance
- Performance of duties assigned with focus on safety, quality (of product and task) and GMP’s
- Execute work orders on time as assigned by planner/scheduler, PSM Manager, or other members of management as assigned in proper priority.
- Calibration of any/all equipment and instruments as assigned.
- Responsible for housekeeping of any and all work areas during and following performed work.
- Manage plant utilities systems to include but not limited to the plant refrigeration, HVAC, and water chemical systems.
- Assists in other departmental areas as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must hold Ammonia Operator I or equivalent certification within one year
Skills & knowledge:
- Can perform sensor calibrations, PM’s on Vilter and Frick compressors
- Perform Ammonia pump outs safely
- Micro troubleshooting skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- Communicates work order progress to supervisor.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills.
