Willis Mechanical is seeking a skilled Commercial and Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Technician who has knowledge and experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. Job Responsibilities
- Observe and test industrial refrigeration system operation
- Perform preventative maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems
- Troubleshoot issues with refrigeration systems
- Communicate effectively with other members of the team
- Document all repair details in accordance with company procedures
- Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory to ensure needed equipment is available
- Maintain safe working environments by complying with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in refrigeration service with ammonia
- Graduation from a technical school or program in the area of study / CARO and CIRO Certifications
- Able to inspect equipment, identify potential problems, and take appropriate corrective action
- Able to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently
- Pass a physical examination and respirator fit testing
- Availability to be on call on nights and weekends, as needed
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Has basic technical skills and can use computers and electronic systems
- Organized, self-motivated, and a strong work ethic
- Current driver's license and impeccable driving record

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, working 8 hours/day, Monday through Friday. A typical day is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There are overtime and on-call opportunities available. Day travel to our customers and job sites is expected.
