The Refrigeration Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the installation of industrial refrigeration systems in construction projects across the country. This includes managing subcontractors, coordinating with internal project management and design teams, and working with clients to ensure the successful construction and completion of projects.
What You’ll Do:
• Oversee subcontractors during the onsite construction and installation of refrigeration systems.
• Communicate and coordinate with engineering and on-site management teams.
• Ensure systems get installed correctly and to Tippmann’s scope, quality, and safety standards.
• Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process.
• Manage schedules and keep projects on track.
• Assist and coordinate with Process Safety Management teams.
• Work with clients to coordinate system startups, train employees, and turn over system.
• Maintain and prioritize system task lists and punch lists.
• Assist with drawings and design for new projects.
What You’ll Bring:
• Minimum of an associate’s degree in a technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in design and engineering of mechanical systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration) including onsite construction project management.
• Availability for regular weekday travel to jobsites in multiple project locations.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership, project ownership, and management skills.
• Attention to detail, organization, and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Software proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems (Preferred).
• Experience with controls, PLCs, and electrical schematics (Preferred).
