Position: Head Bartender / Bar Manager (Mobile Bar – Event-Based)

Schedule: Primarily Weekends (Spring & Fall)

Tipsy Söl Mobile Bar is a professional mobile bartending service based in Chatham, IL. We bring the bar to life at weddings, private parties, corporate events, and public gatherings throughout Central Illinois. Operating from a custom-built trailer and portable bar setups, we deliver high-quality service, creative drinks, and memorable experiences. We are growing and looking for an experienced and reliable Head Bartender / Bar Manager to join our team and take the lead on event days.

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a highly motivated, experienced bartender to manage and run bar operations during events. As our Head Bartender / Bar Manager, you’ll be responsible for loading and transporting either the mobile bar trailer or a portable bar setup, arriving on-site 1.5 to 3 hours before event time to complete setup, bartending during the event, and leading a small team of bartenders to ensure a smooth and professional experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load all necessary bar equipment, supplies, and product into the trailer or vehicle before each event
• Transport and set up either the mobile bar trailer or a portable bar setup, depending on the event
• Drive a trailer to event locations as needed (training provided if needed)
• Arrive on-site 1.5 to 3 hours before event start to complete setup and prep
• Lead the on-site bar team and ensure high standards of service and professionalism
• Bartend during events, preparing and serving cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Manage time and flow of service efficiently, especially during high-volume periods
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout the event
• Communicate professionally with event hosts, vendors, and clients
• Handle inventory management during events and ensure proper clean-up and breakdown afterward
• Represent the Tipsy Söl brand with enthusiasm, integrity, and exceptional customer service

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of bartending experience
• Some bar management or supervisory experience preferred
• Must be 21 with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willing and able to drive a trailer (training provided as needed)
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds (kegs, coolers, supplies)
• Able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours on event days)
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Calm under pressure and confident in managing a small team
• Flexibility to work most weekends during spring and fall

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week
