The Recruiting Co-op position at Tire Discounters offers a valuable opportunity for students to gain practical experience in HR and Recruiting operations. As a key member of our HR team, you will actively contribute to identifying top talent, engaging in the full life cycle of recruiting, and assisting with the onboarding process.
Essential Functions
- Identify Top Talent: Utilize ATS (Applicant Tracking System), Indeed, and LinkedIn to source and attract top talent.
- Participate in recruiting events and support both Corporate and Field recruiting efforts.
- Life Cycle Recruiting Process: Learn the intricacies of recruiting in the retail automotive industry. Work closely with recruiters, gaining hands-on experience in sourcing, screening, hiring, and onboarding.
- Onboarding Process: Acquire skills in creating offer letters, processing backgrounds, and handling new hire paperwork.
- Variety of Other Tasks: As a member of the recruiting team, you will have opportunities to collaborate and provide support wherever needed.
- Throughout the internship, you will encounter diverse situations that will require adaptability and quick learning to excel in various recruiting processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional demeanor, motivated, and capable of handling confidential information.
- Willingness to align with and embrace company philosophies and concepts.

Physical Demands
- This role is primarily office-based, utilizing standard office equipment.
- Regular communication through talking and listening is essential.
- Frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, handling, and lifting/carrying objects up to 25 pounds may be required.
- Occasional travel to store locations may be necessary.
