Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Manager to join our retail Sales Division. The retail Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing client intake, evaluation and establishing appropriate credit terms. The Credit Manager further oversees the collection and payment application processes. This is a key role within the organization, as the Credit Manager is responsible for managing the credit risk, minimizing bad debt and maintaining strong relationships with customers and outside sales representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers
- Set credit limits and terms for customers based on financial analysis
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment and adherence to credit terms
- Investigate and resolve any billing or payment discrepancies
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address any credit-related issues
- Review and analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess credit risk
Skills:
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
