Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator/Project Manager to bid, oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, takeoff, construction management and project oversight, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders including contractors, clients, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Perform estimate using OnCenter Software
- Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and cost control measures.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and terms.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status for stakeholders, highlighting any potential risks or delays.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as OnCenter is preferred.
- Strong understanding of contract negotiation processes within the construction industry.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
