About us
Titan Enterprises OpCo Inc dba TRP Laboratories located in Columbus, IN is an automotive testing laboratory with a focus in Vehicles, Powertrains, Components, Systems & Software.
The Technician III performs a variety of different complex testing and analysis. Following defined technical processes and procedures, they help to determine the appropriate approach for new assignments. Sets up and executes tests, monitors, documents, and reports test results. Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
· Performs a variety of moderately complex tests to confirm if the product (part or set of components) performs its proposed functions in a satisfactory manner
· Depending on the Laboratory, assembles and runs test circuits, or reviews parts and performs applicable tests: calibration testing, catalyst, durability, vibrations, thermal, noise level, emissions, pressure testing, or other as required
· Often uses statistical methods to identify recurring problems and give detailed reports on defects
· Installs and sets up test articles, fixtures, test equipment, instrumentation, and controls
· May perform calibration and assemble test equipment prior to analysis
· Performs testing as instructed and records/logs testing results, communicates results to a higher-level Technician, or to Engineer, or to Supervisor, as required
· Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience may guide junior team members
· Follows all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and protocols
· Follows Quality protocols and reports discrepancies to the Supervisor
· May perform maintenance of equipment as assigned
· Maintains a clean working environment
· Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and providing technical support.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
· 5 years of experience, demonstrating engineering aptitude (Required)
· Associate degree in engineering technology or related field (Preferred)
· Experience in Testing Laboratory (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
· Certification in Automotive Technology (Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)), or Certified Electrician, or certification by Testing Technician Certification Institute (Preferred)
