Job Description:
Directly reporting the Director of Human Resources, the HR Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Human Resources Staff in a variety of projects and tasks including the company H2A program.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Process employee requests and provide relevant information.
- Set appointments for Driver Physicals and H2A employees to get their social security cards
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training seminars.
- Prepares reports and presentations for internal communications
- Provide Orientation for new employees by preparing and sharing onboarding packages
- Collaborate with the department and help post job ads on career pages and process incoming resumes.
- Prepare H2A employee paperwork for onboarding / orientation
- Work with H2A recruiter on building employee lists and works with the CEO on H2A Employee recommendations.
- At the direction of the Director of HR, work with other farms on housing leases and dates.
- Coordinate with Building crews on H2A housing inspections / repairs as needed.
- Attend seminars and lectures with industry specific information as required.
- Serve as liaison with H2A Supervisors / Managers as needed.
- Help with scheduling Rural Health buses and posting notices on health fairs.
- Attend meetings and actively take minutes for record retention
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of HR
Qualifications and Skills:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of office experience in providing administrative support.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven work experience as an HR Administrator or Assistant
- Knowledge of labor legislation or the ability to learn.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to prioritize projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on the task at hand with occasional interruptions
