IT Analyst Responsibilities and Duties
- Providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users.
- Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage, providing items to be covered in training of users, making them more efficient.
- Install new software applications or hardware on the LAN, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary.
- Add and maintain users on the network; assigning access, ensuring security, and maintaining their configurations are within standards.
- Maintain documentation of network connections and equipment and maintain IP configurations and documents.
- Troubleshoot network traffic issues and correct them.
- Maintain email systems and all other communication platforms.
- Assist I.T. Manager in managing day-to-day IT infrastructure.
IT Analyst Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or information systems or an equivalent amount of technical training, professional certification and experience,
- 2 to 3 years experience in software/hardware network systems installation or configuration.
- Ability to work with personal computer hardware and various software platforms, safety equipment, etc.
- Virtual infrastructure hardware, operating systems, and VMs on servers which support business processing requirements experience with VMware, SAN/NAS storage, and data center administration and practices
- Knowledge in different systems platforms including Microsoft domain structure and Active Directory Services.
- Able to configure and deploy switches, routers and firewall appliances.
