SAP Financials Solution Architect

The SAP Finance architect is a key member responsible for the architecture, design, development, configuration, implementation, and testing of all areas of our SAP Finance application. This role will engage in projects, working with other platform support engineers, architects, software developers, and subject matter experts in the creation of architecture, process, and governance documentation for the application. The Finance Solution Architect is accountable for providing technical leadership within the team, including the design and implementation of a formal development, documentation, and code review processes. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the vision and future of our SAP S/4 Finance conversion and Global roadmap. Mentoring, coaching, and training of team resources is also a responsibility of this role.

ROLE
Designs, develops, and ensures compliance to architectural standards throughout the lifecycle.
Partners with Enterprise Architects for domain roadmaps and reference architecture.
Executes projects and initiatives on the domain roadmap in partnership with Enterprise Architects.
Consults with application and infrastructure development projects, and identifies when it is necessary to modify projects to accommodate the solution architecture.
Ensures cohesiveness of solution designs across various projects/solutions.
Collaborates with Enterprise Architects to balance needs between Solution Architectural Guardrails.
Designs, develops, and directs solution architectures, design exceptions, and governance activities in compliance with target states, reference architectures, architecture standards, technology guardrails, and security and operational guidelines.
Identifies the organizational impact (Skills, processes, structures, or culture) and financial impact of the solutions architecture.
Creates non-functional specs for operational agility, disaster recovery, and support.
Establishes solution delivery flow for continuous integration, testing and delivery, and operational deployment in partnership with project managers, solution leads, and other stakeholders.
Conducts design reviews to validate alignment with architecture.
Modifies solution architecture to support changing business or technology requirements.
Documents solutions architecture design and analysis work, and communicates architectural decisions that impact solution.
Defines the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
Communicates infrastructure, software, information, and/solution concepts to all levels of management.
Designs methodology that consistently yields the right level of technical design documentation and develops technical solutions that conform both to customer requirements and information development standards.
Adheres to our Architectural Framework and Governance model.
Analyzes and understands the current business process and workflows to identify gaps and provides solutions to meet business requirements.
Transforms finance function and process by leveraging SAP applications.
Defines the technical standards and guidelines of the broader delivery and operations teams.
Determines scope, estimates work effort, and determines duration of development activities.
Participates in the global planning and support of our SAP implementations.
Understands and adheres to our Mission Statement and Code of Ethics.

REQUIRED
10 years large program experience leading SAP Finance architecture and design.
10 years of experience implementing ECC and SAP S/4 Finance applications and solutions.
5 years experience in SAP S/4 finance.
2 years experience in OneStream financial and operational planning.
Proven experience in Global S/4 Finance implementations.
Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of SAP FICO application with proficiency in all modules of SAP finance (AP, AR, GL, AA, MM), SAP Concur, SAP Ariba, Vistex, OpenText, Fiori applications, EDI processing, SAP Cloud Integration Suite, or SAP PI/PO.
Proven experience and deep knowledge of wholesale, retail, and manufacturing business processes.
Proven experience and deep process knowledge in SAP Finance implementations and support.
Extensive knowledge and experience in implementing and supporting complex business process in SAP.
Proven experience in integrating SAP S/4 Finance with other non-SAP systems (i.e., purchasing, warehouse management, order management, POS and SaaS applications, data warehouse/business intelligence systems).
Ability to communicate technical information in business terms.
Ability to independently plan deliverables and coordinate with team-members.
Ability to work closely with other departments on projects and problem resolution; actively and effectively participate in technical discussions.
Excellent trouble-shooting skills and the ability to logically think through problem situations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create and present documentation or proposals for projects/tasks.
Technical team leadership experience.
Proven skills in leadership, relationship building, negotiation, collaboration, advocacy, governance, and consensus building.
Ability to translate technical ideas/designs to multiple audiences, including Executives.
Ability to communicate trade-offs and transactional states with technical and business teams.
Ability to make architecture changes in a dynamic agile environment.
