As a Traffic Control Technician, you are responsible for providing safe, courteous, and authoritative directions to traffic seeking passage through work zones. You will also be responsible for placing barricades, sign boards, and traffic cones.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Maintaining the flow of traffic on active jobsites
- Closing lanes for emergency and maintenance work
- Setting up, and mobilization of traffic cones and signs
- Removing the barricades, traffic cones, and sign boards after completion of work
- Contacting team members about the traffic concerns as needed
- Informing the construction workers regarding any traffic issues
- Communicating efficiently with the other flaggers via handheld devices
- Using hand signals and signs to direct the traffic
- 1 year of experience as a Traffic Control Technician
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- ATTSA Traffic Control Technician Certified
- ATTSA Flagger Certified
- Must be available to work any shift
