Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Representative (CSR) responsible for assisting customers with inquiries, booking services, resolving issues, and ensuring efficient communication between customers, drivers, and the operations team. The CSR will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth transportation operations. This role requires a strong communicator who can foster positive relationships between the company, drivers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Leadership & Support: Primary point of contact for assigned customers, provide guidance and support to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Shipment Monitoring : Monitor shipments in transit and provide customers with real-time updates regarding delays or changes
- Customer & Operations Coordination: Work closely with driver managers, load planners, and operations teams to ensure logistics and customer satisfaction
- Technology & Reporting: Update tracking portals with real-time shipment statuses and generate service reports as needed
- Issue Resolution: Address customer complaints, delivery issues, and disputes, working with dispatch and drivers to resolve concerns promptly.
- Problem Solving: Resolve transportation-related challenges quickly and effectively
Qualifications & Skills
✔ 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in transportation or logistics
✔ Excellent communication skills, with bilingual proficiency as a plus
✔ Proactive problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential to success
✔ Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
✔ Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS)
✔ McLeod software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
✔ Basic knowledge of shipping regulations and logistics terminology is a plus
✔ Professional phone demeanor and ability to communicate clearly
✔ Experience with hazardous materials shipping is a plus
Work Requirements
- Expectations of flexibility, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
- Requires frequent interaction with customers, drivers, and logistics personnel
