Assistant Controller
The assistant controller’s responsibility is to oversee all aspects related to accounting within the organization. Your duties encompass financial management, reporting, and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
· Assist with financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
· Assist in guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
· Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
· Monitor cash flow, liquidity, financial risk management.
· Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
· Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
· Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends (i.e., complete, and timely financial report, annual report, management cost reports, financial operating metrics).
· Maintains balance of intercompany transactions.
· Prepares commission reports (Salespersons, sales, EC, and ORD PNL statements).
· Reviews and maintains intercompany balances.
· Reviews bank statements.
· Prepares all profit and loss statements.
· Ensures financial month end closing is completed on time.
· Ensures quarterly financial statements are reported for each station.
· Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, policies, and procedures.
· Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
· Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
· Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
· Protects operation by keeping financial information confidential.
· Establish KPI’s for reporting to management.
· Ensure KPI’s are entered into the system.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
· 2 – 4 years’ experience in an accounting environment.
· Knowledge of balance sheets.
· Exposure to CPA practices.
· Proven process solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
