Overview

As the Title Assistant, you will be responsible for answering phone calls, answering email correspondence and reviewing foreclosure customer requests.  You will use various technologies to support assigned job scope and functions.   This is a client and vendor facing position requiring professional communication and accurate documentation.

 

What you will do 

 

  • Maintaining Records: Keeping track of real estate transactions, including deeds, mortgages, and other relevant documents. 
  • Processing Documents: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documents related to property ownership and transfers. 
  • Conducting Title Searches: Investigating the ownership history and any encumbrances on a property. 
  • Assisting clients: Answering questions and providing information to the public regarding property ownership, location, and related matters. 
  • Data Entry: Entering information into databases and computer systems to maintain accurate records. 
  • Customer Service: Providing friendly and helpful assistance to customers and other stakeholders. 
  • Lien/UCC/Bankruptcy Searches: Performing searches to ensure clean and proper transfer of ownership and required payoffs to lenders or third parties. 
  • Administrative Tasks: Handling administrative duties such as filing, copying, scanning, and shredding. 
  • Staying Abreast of Regulations: Keeping up to date with title regulations and procedures. 
  • Ability to read a title report and research title issues
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring 

 

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately process and record information. 
  • Organization: Ability to manage and organize large amounts of information and documents. 
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact with the public in a professional and helpful manner. 
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and record-keeping. 
  • Knowledge of Real Estate Law: Understanding of basic real estate concepts and procedures. 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: While some positions may require additional training or experience. 
  • 3-5 years of title knowledge/ Default experience is a plus

Pay range is $26-$29/hr based on experience.
