Position Summary
Outstanding opportunity to join a growing adult focused Cardiology group practice including 3 cardiologists (2 interventional 1 non-interventional) and 3 NP/PA positions. Your practice will include clinic and hospital rounding responsibilities, along with the ability to practice at the top of your license. While clinic experience is a plus, we would be willing to train a new grad AHP or PA, provided you come with a strong critical care background. In addition to the usual work of a cardiology practice, you’ll have the opportunity to build and lead NP run specialty clinics, teach other clinicians, participate in providing oversight to medical students, and participate in research.
Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, minimum of 8 hours per day. No on-call requirement at this time but would expect flexibility if required in the future.

-Assesses and diagnoses complex cardiology conditions
-Interprets data to identify patient needs relative to age-specific needs.
-Provides care based on knowledge of patient population.
-Evaluates patients as outlined in physician approved protocols.
-Provides indicated medical treatment according to protocols.
-Reviews EKGs, radiology, pathology, and other diagnostic reports.
-Documents all relevant patient information in patient’s chart.
-Dispenses and documents the dispensation of sample drugs.
-In emergencies, administers life-saving procedures per protocols.
-Consults regularly with supervising physician.
-Provides clinical supervision and routine clinical training for staff.
-Assures the mission, vision, and values of the organization are supported at all times.
-Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.

Work Experience
-One or more years of cardiology experience in a hospital or clinic setting is desirable. Will train new grad if nursing or pre-PA career includes strong critical care experience.
Education
-Licensed by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse or by State of Texas as a Physician Assistant required.
-BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire date.
