Position Summary
The Revenue Cycle Liaison acts as a bridge between TRMC and Oschner/Epic Systems. This role requires a strong understanding of Epic revenue cycle applications as well as RCM operations, a customer service mindset and excellent communication skills. The Liaison will collaborate with various departments within TRMC to ensure optimal utilization of Epic and facilitate a smooth user experience.
Essential Functions
-Provides comprehensive user support to staff on Epic RCM applications.
-Assists staff with troubleshooting technical issues, answering questions, and providing guidance on navigating Epic functionalities.
-Collaborates with Epic support personnel to resolve complex user issues and ensure timely resolution.
-Collaborates with affected parties in developing user guides, job aids, and other resources to support ongoing optimization and use of Epic.
-Works with internal and external stakeholders to optimize Epic functionalities and configurations.
-Identifies workflow inefficiencies and potential improvements within the Epic system.
-Collaborates with RCM, technical and clinical teams to configure Epic modules to meet specific departmental needs and optimize clinical workflows.
-Stays up-to-date on Epic features and functionalities and recommending implementation strategies for improved efficiency.
-Monitors system utilization and user feedback to identify opportunities for further optimization.
-Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders by using effective communication and collaboration.
-Represents the organization as a primary point of contact for Epic-related inquiries and concerns.
-Works closely with clinical, financial, and administrative departments to understand their needs and challenges regarding Epic utilization as it relates to revenue cycle management.
-Maintains open communication with TRMC, Oschner and Epic support teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues and feature requests.
-Fosters user adoption and satisfaction by addressing user feedback and concerns proactively.
-Utilizes Epic data tools to extract and analyze data.
-Assists departments with data extraction and analysis to support RCM related process improvement initiatives and performance monitoring.
Collaborates with TRMC Informatics/Oschner IT to ensure data integrity and accessibility within the system.
-Proactively stays informed of new Epic releases, features, and updates.
-Participates in Epic user conferences, webinars, and training sessions.
-Maintains communication with Oschner and Epic representatives to gain insights into upcoming changes and functionalities.
-Participates as the lead for testing new releases and functionality as it is released by Epic and adopted by Oschner.
-Sharing knowledge of new features and updates with stakeholders through training sessions or internal communications.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Work Experience
-Certified Epic User and experience working with Epic revenue cycle related modules (required).
-Strong understanding of revenue cycle workflows and practices.
-Experience working in a healthcare setting with Epic EHR implementation.
-Experience providing user training and support on healthcare software.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in health information management (HIM), healthcare administration, or a related field (preferred).
-Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing software functionalities.
