We are seeking a Laser Engraver to join our team in producing high-quality signs, tags, and labels for a variety of industries. If you are passionate about precision work, have a keen eye for detail, and are skilled in laser engraving, this is the ideal opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laser Engraving: Operate laser engraving machines to engrave designs and text on to various materials, including metals, plastics, and acrylics, to create custom signs, tags, and labels.
- Machine Setup & Maintenance: Set up and calibrate laser engraving machines for optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and adherence to customer specifications.
- Collaboration: Work with the design team and production staff to ensure design files are prepared for engraving and that the final product meets quality standards.
- Material Handling: Safely load and unload materials, ensuring the proper setup for each engraving job. Maintain accurate inventory records for materials used.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment while operating machinery.
- Production Efficiency: Maintain production schedules and meet deadlines while ensuring quality is not compromised.
Please note: Ear buds or personal headphones are not permitted during work hours in the production area, as clear communication and safety are top priorities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with laser engraving machines, including setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of engraving materials and techniques (metal, acrylic, plastic, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret design files, blueprints, and work orders.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in producing high-quality engravings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with others to meet production goals.
- Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve issues that may arise during the engraving process.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- PLEASE BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in the sign-making, engraving, or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of design software (e.g., CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator) to work with design files.
- Familiarity with safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
