TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced AP Specialist- Manufacturing located in Germantown, TN.
Responsible for all functions relating to the accounts payable process. This includes providing research, support to department directors, and resolution for unpaid invoices placed on hold by the payables system. Running reporting for detailed review of payments due before approving payments to be sent to suppliers via check, ACH or wire.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer
experience for leadership, branches, and accounting departments.
Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that payments are made in a timely and accurate manner to each vendor.Investigate and review invoices for goods and services that did not process automated through SAP and / or ERP systemAbility to handle high volume invoice processingEnsure accurate processing and approval during invoice processing in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures, with correct application of taxesReconcile processed invoices by verifying the supplier's name, supplier remit address and dollar amountIdentify, investigate, and follow up on supplier accounts by reconciling monthlystatements
Provide urgent vendor reconciliation on accounts past due to ensure business is not interruptedReconcile daily intercompany AP invoices from other entitiesProvide required documentation during internal and external auditsProcess consolidated invoicing for freight, utilities, vehicle leases, uniforms, etc.Process accounting cost corrections to jobs and projects to adjust costing if inaccurate.Train others in department to ensure cross functional job coverage within departmentWho we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
High School Diploma or GED required2 years of direct accounts payables experienceGeneral Accounting knowledgeProficiency in MS Office, O365 and 10-keyExperience with ERP systems, SAP experience requiredHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentialityExcellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsEffective verbal, listening and written communication skillsEffective organizational, stress and time management skillsDemonstrates a sense of urgency and follow up on pending issues to meet deadlinesOpen to change and willing to learn new skillsAbility to work independently and as a team memberCross train as assigned on other departmental tasks and rolesAdditional information
