Takeoff Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Takeoff Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to assess project costs accurately and efficiently. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and contractors, to ensure that all estimates align with project specifications and budgets.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam to create accurate estimates and manage project data.
• Collaborate with project management team to develop budgets and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and correspondence related to projects.
• Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to clients.

Skills

• Proficient in construction estimating software, particularly Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of cost control methods and techniques in a construction environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accuracy in estimates.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear presentation of estimates and proposals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
