We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Sebastian County Jail. As a correctional mental health professional, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to inmates, including assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in correctional settings and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with jail staff, medical professionals, and community agencies to ensure seamless coordination of care and continuum of services.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting individual and group therapy sessions
- Developing and implementing Individualized Treatment Plans
- Coordinating inmate care with facility and medical staff
- Providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services
- Assessing psychiatric emergencies and collaborating with on-call providers as needed
- Promoting linkages with community mental health agencies and other support services
Qualifications:
A Master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, or related field is required, along with licensure as a Social Worker, Marriage/Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Professional Counselor.
