Our client in Ripley, MS is looking for a Fabrication Group Lead. Pay will be $22-26hr for the 1st shift and $25-28hr for the 3rd shift.
This position is a direct labor position performing the duties of a lead person in the injection mold and blow molding departments. The Fabrication Group Lead will assist in checking to ensure that daily work schedules and quality levels are met. They will also perform the duties at other workstations as directed by the supervisor. This position will also help ensure productivity measures are met with top quality while adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean environment that supports Lean concepts.
Overall Responsibilities

· Implement Lean concepts and help lead staff in the successful understanding and practices associated with Lean. (5S, “Leader Standard Work” and “Standard Work”, etc.)
· Provide leadership abilities in preventing accidents by emphasizing the importance of safety and good work practices.
· Maximize efficiency in each production employee while maintaining exceptional quality, productivity, and production schedules.
· Informs the supervisor of any work discrepancy or parts deficiency for remedial action necessary to a continuing operation.
· Assists with data entry of production
· Ensures that schedules are communicated, measured, and followed up throughout the shift.
· Assist with all reporting of shift performance, incident management, and other reporting as assigned.
· Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

· Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role in a manufacturing environment

· Education: Associate’s degree, & or two-year technical degree, or two years of related experience in manufacturing as a Lead or Supervisor. Minimum education: High School diploma or GED.
· Desired but not required:
o Lean and or Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification,
o Visual Lean Daily Management,
o TPM knowledge and experience,
o 6 Sigma Concepts,
