The Accountant will work closely with the CFO in supporting the goals and objectives of the business. As an accountant with an analytical mindset, you’ll take ownership of the general ledger and month end close process. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Month end close process, including journal entries, intercompany eliminations, variance analysis and financial statement preparation for multiple companies.
- Prepare, analyze and review account reconciliations as part of the month end close process
- Responsible for obtaining and reporting key performance metrics.
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Review and confirm daily activity of cash accounts and initiate payments as needed.
- Prepare and develop various reports and scorecards, from multiple sources, to provide guidance and insight to management.
- IFTA fuel tax reporting.
- Quarterly sales and fuel tax returns.
- Quarterly IRS 720 returns and payments.
- Provide backup for billing, cash receipts and collections.
- Update and maintain fixed asset software.
- Assist in annual audits and provide requested documentation.
- Provide direct support to CFO.
- Other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Requires 1-3 years accounting experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Detail orientated with the ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret data.
- Advanced in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processes in an accrual-based accounting environment.
- Solution provider with a positive “can-do “attitude.
- Some travel required
Pay and Benefits

- Salary range $60,000-$85,000
