What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Adminstrator position at TLI?
Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with new drivers and DLI associates company wide.
- Answer safety line and provide assistance to callers
- Work in conjunction with Safety Specialist on the company drug and alcohol program.
- Responsible for assisting in and processing new hire driver qualification (DQ) files. Enter drivers into system and provide sign on access to business modules
- Assist with driver qualification file maintenance and Expirations due—i.e. annual MVR’s driver’s license, clearinghouse, etc.
- Assists with maintaining temporary employee files
- Assists with verification of employment (VOE) process
- Assist with “hours-of-service” training and compliance and Identify HOS violations and ensure proper follow through with (or in partnership with) local leadership
- Conduct new hire orientation safety training (Mondays &Tuesdays)
- Assist with the Company’s Boot Voucher Program
- Assist with Passenger Authorization process
- Assist with appointment scheduling including physicals and self-certifications
- Ability to provide on-call night and weekend coverage on a rotational basis
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Effectively copes with change and is energized by tough challenges
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and timely decision-making under high pressure situations
- Solid customer service skills (phone, business etiquette)
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal & written)
- Quick learner, strong work ethic, adheres to work hour policies, completes work requirements daily
- PC proficient with the ability to navigate internal databases
