About The Role

The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support and coordination across multiple city-based locations. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring consistency in HR policies and procedures, and assisting with the recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and development efforts for employees located across different cities.

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding :

  • Partner with hiring managers and central administration to identify and address budgeted personnel needs.
  • Manage and support recruitment efforts across multiple locations, including advertising job openings, conducting initial screenings, and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate with local hiring managers to assess staffing needs and assist in the hiring process.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring consistency and compliance across locations.
  • Ensure all new hires complete necessary documentation and are properly integrated into the company's culture and policies.

Employee Relations :

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees across various locations, offering guidance and support on HR-related inquiries.
  • Mediate and resolve employee conflicts, ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement and morale.
  • Provide guidance and support to both employees and managers on employee relations matters, including resolving conflicts and issues.
  • Compliance & Legal :

  • Ensure that HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local labour laws, including wage and hour laws, anti-discrimination regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • Stay updated on state-specific HR regulations and manage any changes to policies or practices in affected cities.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits, compliance checks, and regulatory reviews.
  • Training & Development :

  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for employees across various cities.
  • Work with local managers to facilitate training programs that are consistent with company goals.
  • Support employee performance reviews and ensure development plans are in place for career growth.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration :

  • Assist in the coordination and processing of payroll across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Support employees with benefits-related questions and issues, ensuring they are aware of benefits offerings and enrolment periods.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure compliance with compensation and benefits policies.
  • HR Reporting & Data Management :

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records for all cities in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
  • Provide HR metrics and reports to leadership, tracking key performance indicators such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and recruitment outcomes.
  • Conduct periodic audits of HR data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Cross-Location Coordination :

  • Act as a liaison between different city-based HR teams, ensuring alignment of HR strategies, policies, and practices.
  • Facilitate communication between remote teams, ensuring consistent messaging and updates across locations.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention :

  • Monitor employee satisfaction and address any concerns to improve retention rates across cities.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs, ensuring initiatives are impactful and equitable across locations.
  • Implement company-wide initiatives that promote work-life balance and employee well-being.
  • Health and Safety :

  • Oversee workplace safety initiatives in compliance with OSHA and state-specific regulations.
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of health and safety policies and procedures and conduct regular safety training as needed.
  • Other Duties :

  • Assist with special HR projects as required, including policy updates, culture initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Work closely with senior management to align HR practices with overall business goals.
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by management.
  • Multisite and Travel Requirement :

    This is a multisite role that may require travel to other states as business needs arise. Flexibility to travel is required for the role.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3 years of experience in HR or related roles, preferably in a multi-location environment.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams across different locations.
  • Experience with HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems).
  • Ability to travel as needed to various locations.
  • Security Clearance is Required

  • Preferred Qualifications

    Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

    Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

    High level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive employee information.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR management software.

    Compensation and Benefits

    We provide a competitive salary : $66,760 - $ 71,760 annually.

    Additional Compensation for certain positions : 8,33% of the annual base salary.

    This is an Exempt position, and employees in this role are [not] eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state regulations.
