Kwalyti Tooling , (pronounced Quality), is a small manufacturing company located in Batavia, IL. We are currently looking for a Level 1 Assembly Technician to join our Rebuild / Assembly team. The successful candidate will be a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working with their hands, possesses mechanical aptitude and has some familiarity with assembly drawings. This position will be trained on tooling repair, assembly construction, and the rebuild process for packaging machinery. Duties will include shop secondaries, disassembly, repair and reassembly of various machines and tooling components. Casual and friendly working environment provided.
Responsibilities will include :
- Inspect, disassemble and repair tooling components.
- Assist in the rebuild of both customer machines and Kwalyti equipment.
- Learn the operation and maintenance of packaging equipment.
- Provide or assist in loading and installation of machinery and tooling.
- Assemble machine assemblies and ancillary devices.
- Operate parts washer.
- Develop skills needed to inspect, disassemble and repair tooling components.
- Assist with shop secondary operations as needed.
- Ability to read exploded view drawings (assembly instructions) required.
- Mechanical ability and manual dexterity needed.
- Experience with hand tools required.
- Ability to drive a forklift is a plus.
- 1 year hand tools and 1 year with assembly drawing.
